The Story of New Beginnings

July 13th, 2012

For a long time everyone seemed to have a good rattle story, but me up… that is until this month.

I spent the past weekend in Ft. Davis, Texas for 4th of July gathering.. where I had the opportunity to speak with Mandi Blackman.

Mandi is a college teacher in Tulsa so I asked if she had ever been to Mama Trizzas Pottery, to which she replied, “Of course. It’s my favorite store.”

She asked me what I did for a living, so I told her “heart rattles”.

Teary-eyed, she said, “I have one that a friend gave me. It is my new beginning rattle.”

Mandi then proceeded to tell me her story… being widowed at a young age she proceeded to raise her children, took care of her ailing mother for 11 years, and continued to teach. After her mother passed away, the kids left the house, and the replacement of both knees it was time for a new beginning.

Her friends got together and gave her a “New Beginning Rattle.”

Sometimes, you just need a little reminder that everything is going to be okay. Sometimes, you just need something to soothe the soul. What a wonderful blessing to hear that our innerSpirit rattles offered Mandi the help of healing and moving on.

If you have a “rattle story” you’d like to share, please do email us your story, a photo you with your innerSpirit rattle, and permission to use your story on our blog or in our newsletter.
